The residence permit is based on the Danish Aliens Act (section 9(c), para 5).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To receive a residence permit, the individual has to submit an application to DIS or the relevant police authority. The application must include documentation proving that the individual\u2019s presence is required for an investigation or prosecution, and that they are cooperating with the police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Residence permits are granted for a period of six months, with a possibility of extension for additional periods of six months.
