If the conditions for asylum are not met, the Directorate for Immigration (UDI) must consider whether the applicant meets the conditions for a residence permit granted based on compelling humanitarian considerations, including a residence permit for witnesses in human trafficking cases.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the person has been granted a period of reflection or a limited residence permit, it is possible to apply for asylum at a later time. They have the same access as Norwegian citizens to healthcare, professional training, education, social services and assistance in identifying professional skills and applying for work.
