Find out what you need to do to work with children"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meaningful and safe child participation requires several considerations that are not necessarily the same as when working with adults. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We recommend that you consult with a child participation expert to ensure that you haven\u2019t missed anything vital. Remember, ensuring ethical and safe participation for children&nbsp;<strong>must always be<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>your number one priority.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sub-step 4.1. Child Safeguarding<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Guiding questions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How safe are the activities children would participate in?&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have you done a risk assessment? Why not?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Does your organization have a child safeguarding policy?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For this work, what specific safeguarding procedures need to be developed?&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How can you ensure that all involved adults are trained appropriately in safeguarding children and procedures are followed?&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Have you never heard of child safeguarding?
