Trafficking in human beings (THB)<\/strong> is a form of organised crime that poses a strategic challenge and an increasing threat to national and regional security, requiring cross-sectoral and transnational solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jointly organised by the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS)<\/strong><\/a> and Europol<\/strong><\/a>, the European Forum against Trafficking in Human Beings \u2013 Countering Organised Crime and Protecting Victims will bring together participants from law enforcement agencies, ministries, state authorities, and international organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Forum will address human trafficking as an organised crime phenomenon and a growing security threat \u2014 both to the individuals it exploits and to the integrity of institutions and states. This two-day event presents a valuable opportunity for learning, discussion and reflection about the challenges and opportunities of combatting human trafficking as organised crime across Europe.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
