We discuss how the EU AI Act can be implemented locally, how infrastructure and skills can be built fairly and how AI can contribute without undermining the environment. A central element of our work is that participants form small teams and choose their own projects. These are developed independently by the groups, while the Working Group offers a common platform for feedback, exchange, and coordination. The results will be presented through the [#b_hack] Hackathon in Lübeck (GER), shared with other Working Groups and integrated into youth events across the BSR. Participation is open to everyone: no technical background is required, only the motivation to actively contribute to Europe’s AI future.

Participants of the Working Groups commit to:

Act with good intentions and good faith towards their peers, experts

Respect the values and support the mission of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS)

Attend bi-weekly online meetings and communicate with their peers and experts in English.

Be active between online meetings and contributing to policy papers drafted by the group.

Applications are open until 20 September 2025, 23:59 CEST.

Apply now!

Once again, the Baltic Sea Region Youth Forum, in collaboration with the CBSS, invites you to join one of its Working Groups.
