Working Groups
The Working Groups of the Baltic Region Heritage Committee (BRHC) serve as collaborative platforms that address key areas of cultural heritage preservation and promotion in the Baltic Sea region. These groups were established to respond to regional needs for safeguarding cultural heritage as an essential resource for economic, social, and environmental development. The BRHC and its expert working groups have initiated and carried out several seminars, conferences and projects for highlighting and enhancing sustainable management of heritage.
Purpose of the Working Groups
Each working group focuses on specific themes related to the diverse heritage of the Baltic region, aiming to foster interdisciplinary cooperation among heritage professionals, governments, and institutions. The working groups enable the sharing of knowledge, exchange of best practices, and the development of regional strategies to protect and promote cultural heritage. Their work aligns with the broader goals of sustainable development, regional identity building, and environmental stewardship.
