At the European Civil Protection Forum, CBSS showcases climate resilience action in the Baltic Sea region
The CBSS has been traditionally active in the field of climate resilience, one of the policy areas that were addressed during the event that was held in Brussels earlier in June 2022.
The CBSS showcased successful climate resilience action in the Baltic Sea region at the 7th European Civil Protection Forum that was held in Brussels, Belgium on 28-29 June 2022. The CBSS is traditionally active in the field of climate resilience, one of the four policy areas that were addressed during the event.
At the forum’s workshop “Investing in climate resilience” it co-organized, the CBSS presented examples from the Baltic Sea region on building effective climate resilience.
Invited by CBSS, Laura Storm Henriksen, chief advisor at the Danish Coastal Authority, shared her country’s experience in combating negative consequences of climate change. Hanna Billmayer, climate adaptation strategist, explained how her municipality of Halmstad in Sweden protects itself from floods.
A delegation from the CBSS also presented the CASCADE project in the Forum’s exhibition space, promoting the project’s Toolbox for Climate Risk Preparedness.
