Press Conference: Upcoming CBSS Ministerial Session 2025, Live-Streamed Media Event

The CBSS Ministerial Session 2025, taking place in Estonia on 15–16 May with a focus on regional security and cooperation, will conclude with a live-streamed press conference featuring the Foreign Ministers of Estonia, Finland and Poland.

On 15–16 May 2025, Estonia will host the Foreign Ministers and high-level representatives of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) for the CBSS Ministerial Session 2025 at Vihula Manor, with a focus on regional security.

A press conference will be held on Friday, 16 May 2025, at approximately 12:30 EEST (Tallinn time) / 11:30 CEST (Stockholm time), featuring the CBSS Trio of Foreign Ministers:

  • Margus Tsahkna, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia (incumbent Presidency)
  • Elina Valtonen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland (previous Presidency)
  • Radosław Sikorski, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland (incoming Presidency)

The CBSS Ministerial Session 2025 is organised by the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs under Estonia’s one-year CBSS Presidency, which began on 1 July 2024. Throughout its term, Estonia has focused on strengthening resilience and sustainability in the Baltic Sea Region. Poland will assume the rotating CBSS Presidency on 1 July 2025.

The CBSS is an intergovernmental organisation that unites ten democratic, like-minded states and the European Union in political dialogue and practical cooperation on key issues in the Baltic Sea Region. The CBSS was established in 1992 by the Foreign Ministries of the Baltic Sea Region countries. 

The CBSS members are Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and the European Union.
