Baltic Sea Youth Dialogue 2023
Young civil servants, experts, and students in fields related to societal resilience and politics are gathering at the Baltic Sea Youth Dialogue 2023 in Germany to foster intergenerational collaboration on building resilient democracies.
The Baltic Sea Youth Dialogue (BSYD) 2023 is set to foster intergenerational discussions that aim to make our societies stronger. The main events will take place at the Academia Baltica in Oeversee, near Flensburg, Germany from 5-9 November 2023.
The BSYD 2023 invites young people aged 18-27 from CBSS member and observer states. The attendees will learn from experienced experts about boosting democratic strength, especially through better regional cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region and other structures like the CBSS, the Baltic Sea States Subregional Co-operation (BSSSC) and the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR).
A highlight for participants will be discussions with top speakers, including the Minister of European Affairs of the Land Schleswig-Holstein. Additionally, there will be trips, cultural events, and chances to connect with peers.
This event is put together by the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS), Academia Baltica, and the Land Schleswig-Holstein, set to lead the BSSSC in 2024. It is funded by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
