CBSS to Address AI and Human Trafficking at OSCE Meeting in Vienna

Artificial intelligence can fuel human trafficking — but also help combat it. The CBSS will explore both sides at an OSCE meeting in Vienna.

On 9 November 2026, the CBSS TF-THB will participate in a meeting of the OSCE Asian Partners for Co-operation Group in Vienna. The event will focus on human trafficking and AI.

The TF-THB will present its policy brief on the topic, published in cooperation with the Council of Europe, and highlight the opportunities and challenges of using AI tools to combat human trafficking.

The policy brief, Artificial Intelligence and Human Trafficking: Threats, Responses, and Ethical Considerations, examines how artificial intelligence is changing human trafficking — both as a tool for criminals and as a resource for those working to prevent trafficking, investigate cases and support victims.
