On 21 October 2024, join a webinar by the Secure Kids project on child participation in disaster risk reduction (DRR) to deepen your knowledge about participation of children and young people in your work. This webinar will be held in Swedish, specifically addressing Swedish participants. (More webinars on the topic will be held in national languages throughout autumn 2024.)

The event will present a tool (step-by-step guide) developed in the Secure Kids project for involving children and young people, especially in DRR activities. More specifically, the webinar will look at Why having child and youth participation in DRR?, What is the step-by-step guide?, and How to implement it? 

Participants will discuss in smaller groups and together examples and situations of child and youth participation in DRR activities.

The aim of the webinar is to increase the participants’ understanding of the participation of children and young people, its importance, and benefits, especially in preventive activities.
