BSN_powerhouse project adjusts activities in COVID-19 conditions
“BSN_powerhouse” project partners met online to continue to adjust the ongoing project to the current situation under the COVID-19 crisis.
The LaunchPad part of the project – a set of actions to scale up research infrastructures through a 3 step process of event activities – has been adjusted to the new conditions: the planned Symposium will go online; a hackathon format will be adopted to the planned small to big research infrastructure matchmaking session; the tailor-made support through coaching will take place in the first quarter of 2021.
The BARI (Baltic Science Network Mobility Programme for Research Internships) part of the project will offer an extension on a first come first served basis. It means that programme submissions will be open on a monthly basis, starting 1st July 2020 for the rest of the year and possibly longer, once the project extension is confirmed.
To attract more sponsors for the BARI programme, the proposal for 10 additional scholarships has been prepared and submitted to the CBSS Project Support Facility and been chosen by the Selection Committee, pending of the approval of the CBSS Committee of Senior Officials.
BSN_powerhouse workshop proposal promoting project activities at the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region 11th Annual Forum was supported by the Forum organisers. The workshop will be adapted to the new format as the Forum goes online.
