Lithuanian Presidency Priorities for the Expert Group on Sustainable Development

This year, the Expert Group will concentrate on supporting the transition of the Baltic Sea Region towards a low carbon economy focusing on sustainable and green transformations of the resource intensive industry sectors. The Lithuanian Presidency will touch upon such challenging Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Baltic Sea Region as 15 – life on land; 13 – urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts; SDG 12 – responsible consumption and production and SDG 8 – decent work and economic growth.

Lithuania will hold the 23rd Expert Group meeting in Vilnius and a back-to-back seminar on sustainable and green transformations of the resource intensive industry sectors.
