Baltic Offshore Wind Forum in Berlin

Registration for the Baltic Offshore Wind Forum on 9 May 2023 in Berlin is now open. With this high-level event, Germany's CBSS Presidency stresses the importance of the debate on offshore wind energy and energy security.

Jointly organised by the Council of the Baltic Sea States, the German Federal Foreign Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark and the German Energy-Agency (dena), this high-level forum on “Energy security in the context of Europe’s changing geopolitical landscape” is an important initiative to give a strong boost to Baltic offshore wind energy.

The forum will be hosted by Annalena Baerbock, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, and Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark. It will bring together stakeholders from governments, the private sector and civil society from all CBSS member states.

The discussions will focus on critical issues at the intersection of energy and security policies, such as best practices and remaining challenges in the up-scaling of offshore wind energy and the further development of an integrated renewable energy system in the Baltic Sea Region.

The forum will take place at the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin, followed by an evening reception hosted by the Royal Danish Embassy. The event will be held in English.

For those who cannot attend in person, the forum will be broadcasted by the German Energy Agency (dena) here:
