Baltic Sea Parliamentary Youth Forum 2026

From 28 August to 1 September 2026, the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Youth Forum 2026 will bring together around 50 young people from across the Baltic Sea Region and beyond in Lübeck, Germany, to exchange perspectives, engage with decision-makers, and contribute to shaping the future of the region.

Held under the theme “Youth. Set. Sail – For a Thriving Baltic Sea Region,” the Forum will provide a platform for young people to discuss key regional challenges and opportunities, with a focus on strengthening cooperation, stability, resilience, and preparedness in a rapidly changing regional and global environment.

The programme will build on the outcomes of the CBSS Youth Ministerial 2026 and the work of the Baltic Sea Region Youth Forum term 2025/2026, creating space for dialogue between young people and representatives involved in regional policymaking. Participants will explore how youth perspectives can contribute to building a more resilient and sustainable Baltic Sea Region.

During the Forum, participants will collaborate to develop a shared understanding of pressing regional challenges, formulate joint youth positions, and contribute to a youth position paper. The document will be presented and adopted at the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference (BSPC), ensuring that young people’s perspectives are reflected in parliamentary-level discussions.

The Baltic Sea Parliamentary Youth Forum offers a unique opportunity for young people to directly engage in regional policy processes, exchange ideas across borders, and strengthen youth participation in shaping the future of the Baltic Sea Region.

The Forum is organised under the Schleswig-Holstein Landtag Presidency of the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference (BSPC) by the Schleswig-Holstein Landtag, the BSPC Secretariat, and the CBSS Secretariat, in collaboration with the Baltic Sea Region Youth Forum.
