Baltic Sea Youth Dialogue 2022 – Civil Security edition
The 9th edition of the Baltic Sea Youth Dialogue in Hamburg, Germany starts on 21 November 2022 to improve societal security in the Baltic Sea Region.
20 young people between 18 and 28 years old, reside in a country of the Baltic Sea Region and are involved in the field of civil protection, will participate in the Baltic Sea Youth Dialogue 2022: Civil Security edition – Your engagement in a safe and secure Baltic Sea Region.
The event, which is organised by the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) and the Hamburg Fire and Rescue Services, will take place in Hamburg, Germany on 21-25 November 2022.
The participants of the Baltic Sea Youth Dialogue 2022 (BSYD 2022) will be able to meet peers and experts from around the Baltic Sea Region who share their interests and get into a dialogue with them. The BSYD 2022 will give them an opportunity to exchange views and experiences on civil protection and improve international cooperation by connecting young or future professionals with the decision-making processes.
The participants will attend several sessions on the topics of protection against floods in central Hamburg, prosecution of environmental crime and dumped munitions in the Baltic Sea. They will learn about various societal security aspects, and be able to talk about their experiences and learn from each other during the workshops. One of the key elements of the BSYD 2022 will be an expert panel session where they will have the chance to interact with experts.
The Baltic Sea Youth Dialogue 2022 is organised by the Council of the Baltic Sea States and Hamburg Fire and Rescue Services, and is sponsored by the German Federal Foreign Office and the German Embassy in Stockholm.
