The European Sustainable Development Network (ESDN) Conference 2023 "Halfway to 2030 – Where does Europe stand and how does it move forward?" is organised on 15-16 March 2023 in Stockholm.

The European Sustainable Development Network (ESDN), together with the Nordic Council of Ministers and Nordregio, organises the ESDN Conference 2023 that is taking place on 15-16 March 2023 in Stockholm. The title of this year’s Conference is: “Halfway to 2030 – Where does Europe stand and how does it move forward?”

This year marks the 20-year Anniversary of ESDN! The Anniversary will mark the Conference kickoff on 15 March.

To celebrate this 20 years of its anniversary, the ESDN conference will provide the framing and stock taking off where Europe stands and how it will move forward until 2030 for the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs. Interactive sessions that will showcase national level, subnational, and local good case examples of successes in implementing the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs. Participants will be able to ask in-depth questions, gain insights, share their own experiences, learn, and seek advice from their peers on how to solve sustainable development challenges.

The CBSS will showcase the achievements in reaching the Baltic 2030 Action plan objectives on localising the SDGs. More specifically among others we will showcase the CliMaLoc Handbook and hold a presentation and Q&A session titled “Council of the Baltic Sea States – Handbook for Local Climate Change Adaptation Planning in the Baltic Sea Region” at the “Exchange Space – Practical SDG solutions and experiences from the national, subnational, and local levels” session.
