Future Cities Forum
On 17 November 2026, the Future Cities Forum will bring together local authorities and urban practitioners from across the Baltic Sea Region in Glücksburg, Germany, to exchange experiences and explore practical approaches to engaging communities in urban development.
Glücksburg, a BSR Cultural Pearl 2026, will provide the setting for discussions on culture, public engagement, urban development and the activation of public spaces. The forum will create opportunities for participants to connect across existing networks, share experiences and identify potential areas for future cooperation.
Organised by the Future Cities Platform, the forum will bring together participants from several project networks, including BSR Cultural Pearls, Liveability, NEB-STAR and CCI4Change.
A transfer from Hamburg to Glücksburg will be organised on 16 November, with a return transfer to Hamburg on 18 November.
The full programme, registration details and practical information will be announced shortly.
The Future Cities Platform is funded by Interreg Baltic Sea Region as an Operation of Strategic Importance for 2026–2028. It brings together the networks and results of 12 projects to strengthen urban resilience through civic engagement and the activation of public spaces.
