Children and young people involvement in disaster risk reduction (DRR) activities has been in focus for PA Secure since 2020. PA Secure is coordinated jointly by the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) and Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB).
On 14-15 December 2022, the NEEDS project consortium, led by the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS), held a Multiplier Event in Hamburg, Germany to introduce the project to civil security practitioners and experts from across the region. The “Before You Go” information campaign informs labour migrants from Ukraine, Bulgaria, Poland and Romania about the risks of labour exploitation. The campaign was jointly developed by the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) and the Swedish Gender Equality Agency.

The Swedish Gender Equality Agency (Jämställdhetsmyndigheten) has cooperated with the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) Task Force against Trafficking in Human Beings (TF-THB) on several occasions. From the experience of the Swedish Gender Equality Agency, the TF-THB has consistently shown its value as a partner in the work to tackle trafficking in human beings. Working both on a practical and political level, the competence of TF-THB is hard to replace.
