BSR-NOVA members to meet on civil protection cooperation and emerging risks
The BSR-NOVA network meets to address emerging civil protection challenges and cooperation between volunteer organisations and authorities across the Baltic Sea Region.
The Baltic Sea Region Network of Volunteer Organisations and Authorities (BSR-NOVA) will hold its next meeting on 29 September 2026, focusing on civil protection cooperation, regional projects and the role of volunteers and municipalities in responding to emerging risks.
BSR-NOVA provides a platform for cooperation between volunteer organisations, civil protection authorities and other actors across the Baltic Sea Region, with a focus on joint preparedness and the role of volunteers in civil protection. It is currently chaired by the Latvian Platform for Development Cooperation (LAPAS), until February 2028.
The meeting will notably cover the current Icelandic CBSS Presidency priorities for civil protection, lessons from the Grindavík evacuation, updates from regional civil protection projects and the role of municipalities and voluntary organisations in responding to drone alerts.
