Child protection cooperation: Annual Report of the Polish Presidency of the CBSS Expert Group on Children at Risk 2025–2026
The CBSS has published the Annual Report of the Polish Presidency 2025–2026 of the Expert Group on Children at Risk (EG CAR), highlighting key activities, priorities and regional cooperation during Poland’s Presidency.
The Annual Report of the Polish Presidency of the CBSS Expert Group on Children at Risk 2025–2026 focuses on unaccompanied children, children with refugee experience, foreign minors and foster care, reflecting the need to strengthen child protection and cooperation in addressing cross-border challenges across the Baltic Sea Region.
During the Presidency, EG CAR held meetings in Warsaw and Wrocław, as well as online discussions, addressing topics including cooperation against trafficking in human beings and trauma-informed care for children affected by conflict, displacement and crisis.
The report also presents the findings of a consultation with CBSS Member States, identifying prevention and early intervention as key priorities and highlighting the importance of exchanging knowledge and experience across the region.
The publication contributes to the implementation of the EG CAR Strategy 2025–2030 and the CBSS long-term priority of a Safe & Secure Region.
