CBSS Project Support Facility 2023 Call is open

The PSF 2023 Call is open! Do you have an interesting idea for an international project that puts safety and security at the centre of Baltic Sea regional cooperation? Apply now!

The Project Support Facility (PSF) of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) is now accepting applications for the funding of projects in the Baltic Sea Region under its 2023 call. Interested and eligible parties can now submit project proposals until 31 March 2023.

This year’s call will prioritise project ideas that focus on the CBSS long-term priority ‘Safe and Secure Region‘ more specifically on managing risks for states and societies, including those resulting from climate change, and building more resilient communities.

All eligible organisations and actors in the Baltic Sea Region are invited to apply for grants for the implementation of small-scale, community-based or professional/expert-based projects. The PSF can provide financial support of up to 65,000 euros.

The PSF is a unique funding instrument that supports small and medium-sized projects that have a significant impact on the Baltic Sea Region. The main purpose of the PSF is to co-finance the development and implementation of Baltic Sea Region cooperation projects contributing to CBSS long-term priorities, bringing added value for the Baltic Sea Region, showing impact in regional cooperation and fostering sustainable partnerships.

“The PSF is a great opportunity for organizations and institutions to receive support for their innovative projects that contribute to the development of the Baltic Sea Region. We encourage all interested parties to apply and look forward to seeing the positive impact their projects will have on the region.”

Grzegorz Poznański, Director General of the CBSS.

Project proposals should include eligible partners in at least three CBSS member countries. Proposals with the participation of partners from the CBSS Observer States are also welcome.

More detailed information about eligibility for funding by the PSF can be found in the guidelines for the call 2023.

The first PSF Call took place in 2013 and since then the PSF has supported over 60 different projects from around the region. Some of the already completed or still ongoing projects can be a good inspiration when thinking about this year’s applications.

Please read the PSF Manual before registering a new application.

The application period is open from 15 February 2023 to 31 March 2023, 23:59 CET.
