“Människohandel och människoexploatering på den svenska arbetsmarknaden. En uppföljning.” (Human trafficking and human exploitation in the Swedish labour market. A follow-up.) is a study that presents and examines the seven cases between 2018-2023 where criminal responsibility for labour exploitation was tried before Swedish courts. The prosecutions in the cases were for human trafficking for forced labour or some other activity in a situation that involves distress for that person and/or human exploitation through forced labour or work under apparently unreasonable working conditions. The study did not examine cases prosecuted for human exploitation through begging. No one was convicted for human trafficking or for human exploitation through forced labour in any of the seven cases. In the cases prosecuted for human exploitation the charges were limited to work under apparently unreasonable working conditions; thus there were no prosecutions for human exploitation through forced labour.
