Reviving Tourism in Times of Global Change – Baltic Sea Tourism Forum 2020

The 13th Baltic Sea Tourism Forum is one of the events of the Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of the Baltic Sea States.

The Lithuanian Presidency is focusing on achievable, practical, and visible priorities, one of which is dedicated to sustainable development as well as green and maritime tourism as an important sector in reviving regional economy, increasing the Region‘s visibility and offering employment opportunities to young people.

The Presidency intends to work on a new forward-looking Vilnius Declaration ‘A Vision of the Baltic Sea Region until 2030’, which will include the vision of future tourism in the Baltic Sea Region. The tourism vision will be prepared during the 13th Baltic Sea Tourism Forum (BSTF) organised by the Ministry of the Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania,  Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Tourist Board, Policy Area Tourism of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region and the Palanga resort municipality.

The Forum will be held on 10–13 November 2020 in the Palanga resort — for the first time it will be four day online event.

November 10 – Warming up for the BSTF “Sustainable entrepreneurship during challenging times”

November 11 – EUSBSR PA Tourism Steering Committee Meeting (by invitations only) and the 1st Sustainable Tourism Award of the Baltic Sea Region

November 12 – 13th Baltic Sea Tourism Forum – „Reviving tourism in times of global change“

November 13 – the BSR Tourism ministers’ meeting on the topic ‘Times for new beginnings: where do we go from here?’ BSR 2030
