Annual Report of the CBSS Expert Group on Children at Risk 2022–2023

During the German Presidency 2022-2023, the CBSS Expert Group on Children at Risk (EG CAR) steered through the challenges following Russia’s withdrawal from the CBSS, reaffirming its pivotal role in child protection. The presidency was marked by recovery from the pandemic and a focus on combating sexual violence against children, with significant progress in exchanging best practices and setting the course for future regional child safety measures. Mid-term through its 5-year strategy, EG CAR is dedicated to enhancing regional cooperation, understanding shared challenges, and developing innovative solutions for child protection in the Baltic Sea Region.
