PSF Call 2024: CBSS Opens Call for Funding Projects on Societal Resilience

Do you have a project idea that could improve societal resilience in the Baltic Sea Region? The CBSS is now accepting applications for its 2024 Project Support Facility (PSF).

The Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) now welcomes applications for funding through its Project Support Facility (PSF) for 2024. The application window will close on 31 March 2024.

“This year, we are looking forward to funding innovative and impactful projects that foster cooperation and mutual trust building for more resilient societies” said Katerina Popova, the PSF coordinator at the CBSS, adding that the PSF will prioritise small-scale, community-based or expert-driven initiatives.

The 2024 PSF call specifically focuses on the enhancement of civil security and societal resilience across the Baltic Sea Region, with a special emphasis on the whole-of-society approach. Preference will also be given to projects that tackle child protection initiatives and efforts against human trafficking.

Projects that address identity building through youth, culture, and education, as well as initiatives focusing on climate change, energy transitions in maritime transport, and the enhancement of sustainable tourism are also welcomed.

The engagement of young people and the inclusion of partners from Ukraine in projects are particularly encouraged.

Projects may receive up to 65,000 euros in funding. National, regional and local public authorities, as well as non-profit and non-governmental organisations can apply.

Eligibility for PSF funding requires that projects involve partners from at least three different CBSS Member States. Projects should also align with at least one of the CBSS long-term priority areas and enhance the visibility and added value of macro-regional cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region, among other criteria.

For detailed application guidelines and more information, applicants are advised to consult the PSF Manual and the 2024 call details.
